Smoke alarms are now very important to be installed in any commercial or residential place. The loud ear-piercing sound will begin in just a moment then you know that it is working but if no or very low sound is heard then you know what to do.
SOME OTHER WAYS TO CHECK THE ALARM
You can use an aerosol to check the sensor of the smoke detector. The aerosol is an inexpensive spray designed mainly to check the smoke alarms.
Testing the smoke alarm using the real smoke can also be done if mentioned by the manufacturer.
If your detector has completed 10 years then it needs to be changed even if it's in a working condition so far.
Installing the Smoke alarm testing detector is easy but do check the properties which the detector includes and choose according to the range of the fire alarm. But never let the testing of the alarm slip from your mind. Testing from time to time is as essential as the proper installation. You can ask the smoke alarm testing person to come and check or you can do it by yourself, but with all the safety needed.
