It is very important to practice safety during formwork construction. When it is improperly erected, it can result in structural element damage and also a risk threat to the workers. This article presents safety measures that are taken from the safety practices checklist that is practiced in the field of formwork in Sydney.
Formwork Safety Checklist for Design
The modeling of a structural element of the formwork must be carefully planned and designed. The rough copy of the working drawing must always be available on the construction site.
The formwork design must include all the loads that will be experienced during the concrete structural member’s castings. 
The material's strength that is used in the formwork must support adequately to the structural load, along with other loads that will be applied to it.
The design of formwork in Sydney must also show the concrete pour rate, temperature, concrete pour height and schedule and sequence of concrete pours.
The formwork's working drawing must show the dimensions in detailed form. It must include compaction opening, pocket-size pouring, and cleanouts.

One must be alert and sure that the construction loads are not positioned or placed on the beams or cast slabs that are fresh during the process of framework removal. Also one must make sure it is not placed on the concrete before its required time.  
Ensure that the wall forms installation and concrete placement are done in the presence of supervisors. 
Inspect the resistance against uplifting of concrete formwork’s sloping faces.
