Traffic Management Signs Are Now Mandatory For The Streets Of Sydney

In a densely populated city like Sydney, it is very important to maintain and regulate the traffic. Traffic management signs play a very important role here. They instruct the driver about the road conditions and alert him at a junction. Only wearing a helmet and seatbelts, won’t fix the situation. Each road user should be properly educated about the road signs as well.

Taking the federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices as the standard, the agencies have been manufacturing traffic engineering devices past few years. There are many companies in Sydney working in this field and doing profitable business as well.

What is so the mode of coordination of the agencies?

Each company coordinates with three departments. The traffic investigation team designs the signs that will somehow increase the safety standards of the driver. They make traffic management plans so that accidents can be avoided in the long term projects. The Business Sign Control team supplies staff to the Travel Information Council (TIC).

They also take part in the state administration program called Official Business Directional Sign(OBDS). Work Zone Traffic Management is responsible for taking care of the traffic in the places where highway repair/construction work is going on. It works in collaboration with Construction and Materials Bureau.

Road safety education is present in the curriculum of schools, colleges, and workplaces. But still, so many accidents on roads are witnessed every single day. The two most significant causes are high-speed driving and drunken driving. It is important now to take the initiative for a better risk-free future.
