Different types of shower screens in Sydney:
Shower screens are divided into different types based on the design, shower enclosure and size. The common shower screen types used in Sydney are listed below:
Pivot door shower screen:
In this type, the shower screen panels are fully fixed in a particular place. The shower screen door is attached to the panel using a pivot hinge so that it can be opened both outwards and inwards.

Sliding door shower screen: In this type, the panels are fixed, and the door slides in one direction to allow the user to enter the shower room.

Corner shower screen: This shower screen must be installed at the corner of the bathroom. The panels are fixed, and they are narrow. It also has two or more panels in it. The door used in this type is the pivot, allowing the user to enter and exit when needed.

Fixed ad swing shower screen: This shower screen type has swinging doors and fixed panels. It is similar to normal doors. This type can be mostly opened outwards. If you have no restriction on space, then this type of shower screen is the best option. It needs more floor space since the door opened outwards.

Fixed panel shower screen: This type of shower screen does not have doors. It has only a glass panel in it. It is used to create a front edge shower or walk-in shower. If the shower rose is installed, you can combine both bath and shower.

Different types of shower screens based on the exterior look are listed below:

Fully framed black shower screen: In this type, all sides are covered with a frame and glass panel. This is the best option if you like to have a classic or traditional look for the bathroom. A fully framed black shower screen is cost-effective.

Semi-frameless shower screen: In this type, only the outside panels are framed. Glass panels and doors are not framed in this shower screen type. It creates a stylish and clean look for the bathroom. The cost of installing a semi-framed shower screen is less expensive when compared with a fully framed shower screen.

Fully frameless shower screen: There will be no frames around the glass panels in this type. The glass panels are fixed using fixings, clamps and special channels. A fully frameless shower screen creates a simple and clean look. This shower screen type can be easily cleaned since there will be no grime and soap scum accumulation. This shower screen type is available in different designs, and even a customisation option is available. Some glass types used for a fully frameless shower screen are slump, frosted, tinted and clear glass.
