Oral Health Care - How to Keep Your Teeth White

Teeth whitening... everybody wants a piece of it- some are searching for the secret ingredient. Millions of people have used millions of dollars to get this magical experience, from buying whitening products to going for whitening procedures.

By the rate people are seeking the perfect procedure, it has got me thinking about how our ancestors brushed or whitened their teeth. Maybe they had their own ways that have not yet been revealed or is there a secret note with the ‘whitening recipe’ that has not yet been found by scientists?

Well before that happens, people have managed to find their own solutions. From natural to laser whitening. All of the teeth whitenings have their own pros and cons. It is advisable to consult a dentist bondi before trying out any of those methods.

You can keep your teeth white in various ways. They include:

1. Oil pulling

I have heard most people saying this is one of the most ancient ways of teeth whitening. I don’t know how right they are but it is known to work wonders. Coconut oil, sesame oil, and sunflower oil are the most commonly used for pulling. But coconut oil is the one preferred by many and kills the bacteria in the mouth after regular use.

To oil pull, you’ll need to put a tablespoon of the oil in your mouth and wait for it to melt. Push and pull it around your mouth slowly for 15-20 minutes. Be careful not to overdo it. Spit it on the trash and never on your sink as it may cause clogging. It is safe to use as it does not contain any chemicals or acids. So your enamel is safe here.

2. Use apple cider vinegar

Being known for its great cleaning power, this vinegar has acetic acid that acts as a teeth bleaching agent and also kills bacteria found in the mouth.
Dilute a drop in a glass of water and swish it for several minutes in your mouth. Use this for once or twice a week but not every day as it can erode your teeth enamel.

3. Strawberries

You see that fruit that you are always putting on top of your cake, it can work magic (or so) on your teeth. Brush the fruit against your teeth, but not too harshly and wait for a few minutes then rinse. You can do this repeatedly but not every day.

4. Brush and floss your teeth

Technology has made people underestimate the power of daily brushing and flossing teeth. Don’t be one of those people. Regular brushing after minutes of eating will help limit the possibility of plaque building up and reduce the bacteria in your mouth. And you can have your perfect teeth without any hard hassle.

5. Always change your toothbrush every three months.

6. Avoid drinking energy drinks.

Some other methods such as using activated charcoal and fruit peels are being argued for their whitening teeth power. It all depends on you and the results you want. If you want great teeth whitening bondi results, then take a visit to your dentist for much stronger teeth bleaching.
